Audits. All the time.
Why an Audit product is the perfect starting point for your business.
Let’s chat about a fantastic way to kickstart this process: Audits.
A week or two ago, I shared my journey into the ecommerce industry with a brand-new lead generator. But let’s be real—that’s just a lead generator.
At some point, we need to convert those leads into paying customers.
So, what will be the first product you’ll actually sell?
After your customers interact with your lead generator, you'll have plenty of contact moments with them.
Maybe you've crafted a killer email sequence that warms them up and gets them ready to buy.
Now, it’s time to hit them with something valuable, something that showcases your expertise and starts building trust.
Here’s my advice for a great first product: An audit.
Think about it.
For ecommerce, you’ll develop a unique scan that covers 25 points on a product page.
For SaaS, it could be an audit of the landing page.
The possibilities are endless, but the concept remains the same.

But why is an audit such a great first product?
1. It shouldn’t be too expensive: It’s a low-risk purchase for your clients, making it easier for them to say yes.
2. It’s a way to gain trust: By providing valuable insights, you’re showing your expertise and genuinely helping your clients improve.
3. The outcome of an audit is the perfect first step for an upsell: Once you’ve identified areas of improvement, you can offer to fix those issues. It’s a natural and organic way to get your foot in the door and build a stronger relationship.
Even if there’s no upsell, make sure you ask for a testimonial or a referral.
Happy clients are your best marketing tool; testimonials will make selling your next audit even easier.
So, get out there and start offering audits.
It’s a small step with a big impact, paving the way for more significant opportunities.
